To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

There's this strange but effective cult film from the 70s that comes to mind when I look at this. It's called Race with the Devil starring Peter Fonda. If you like horror, it's worth seeing. I love this image, Mina. Even though it's full of fear, it's a pleasure to view. I like the strong columns and the orange against the black suggesting fire to me. Perfect for this month. That cartoon is hilarious. : )

This coulda been a poster for a Hitchcock thriller. Like you've got her peeping out from behind some rotten beat up door or screen and what does she see. Those eyes rock and the vibrant colors are so unexpected in a horror pic and yet because they are pixelated they are not warm, but rather, surreal.
