Description

This dedication is very important to me and is for (LBJ2) or best known as Lars. He is amazing and if you get to know him you will discover he is a caring and brilliant man. Lars has had an incredible life and is one of the most talented men I've ever known. He had his own band (Fairytale) and has written and performed many songs. Lars allowed me to hear some music his band recorded back then and it is incredible. I hope one day he will share it with everyone here. Lars does superb work in Daz, Bryce, Hexagon, and Poser. He is able to get important messages across in his art by using his sense of humor. He is able to make a point without offending others, and he does it in a way that is entertaining and will make you smile. This dedication involves Lars and his Mom whom he speaks about with great love and respect. True Love And Caring (For LBJ2): Lar's Great Grand father and his Grand father were both fishermen, and Lars and his family have lived near the ocean all of their lives. His Mother would often take him for a stroll in his baby carriage down by the ocean. She was a loving Mother and left a lasting impression on his life. Below are Lar's own words that touched me and were my inspiration for this scene. "I could run out and play with all the other kids. If I needed anything at all. I could just run home. She was always there for me. If I fell and got a bleeding wound on my knee.. she was always there to wash it and put a bandage on it.. if I got hungry or thirsty, any time of day... she was there for me. I guess that is true love and caring." In modern times I know it is more difficult to make time for our children and that is why I felt this story was both rare and beautiful. I wanted to capture that feeling of safety and happiness that his Mother provided for him all the time. Hoping for smiles, Dave P.S. Special thanks go out to my dear friend TONI DUNLAP :) She breathed new life into my favorite outfit Hansel And Gretel by making so many amazing textures for them. I mixed and matched them for this scene and they look great. PHOTOS on wall are Lars, His Mom, His Dad and his Sister, along with the view from his bedroom window as a boy. A parent always being there no matter what is poignant & especially meaningful today, where so many parents have to work extra hours to support family; and where there's this drive to fill up a child's life so they don't spend much time with their parents anyway. (More common in families that have means, probably.) Your image feels simple, and though the home is modern, the postures & colors are warm and old-fashioned. You chose a very comforting green and earthen tones for the mother, all tones of nature at its most peaceful. The child is caught partly in pain, partly relieved—one of those in-between captures you do so often (& so well)—and the children outside are caught between interest and absorption in their own games, etc. You also got Lars looking so much like a child should look: swamped by the big chair, a bit stunned, his shirt beautifully rumpled & his legs in highlight at the point where his mother's care touches him. Your stained glass door is care-ingly rendered, allowing the outside to flood in in just the way stained glass allows; and you placed the real photos in such a way that they utterly belong here, and so nice that you wove Lars' life into the picture this naturally. There's also that apple, which gives a burst of red to the earth-tones and greens all around; and you 'halo' his mother with the florals of the glass behind her. Another caring & gentle portrait from you, celebrating humanity once more, and presenting it with your usual care and grace. Many thanks for all the care you give to us all.

I think this may be one of my favorite scenes of yours to date. How touching and admirable for you to put so much care and sensitivity into this. I love seeing the photos on the wall, and the expressions and posing are right on. I love the nostalgic look in this as well. What a heart-felt work both in the image and the prose. Lars is a great guy, and isn't it fun to know so many talented and dedicated people working at this site can stop and pay you both their compliments? Life is good. : )

ya know Dave, you really are good at this; you can take a memory and make it live again. this is a fantastic dedication to a wonderful man. the care you took in this scene, the details of the photos on the wall and the impatient poses of the kids outside and even the way mother and son look at each other, are all done so well. bravo on another beautiful and touching scene!

Qué hermosas palabras y dedicatoria Dave! La escena que has realizado nos hace sentir el amor y la protección que nos daban nuestros padres cuando eramos niños y eso es algo bello. Un trabajo fabuloso amigo mío! :)
