Description
This dedication is very important to me and is for (LBJ2) or best known as Lars. He is amazing and if you get to know him you will discover he is a caring and brilliant man. Lars has had an incredible life and is one of the most talented men I've ever known. He had his own band (Fairytale) and has written and performed many songs. Lars allowed me to hear some music his band recorded back then and it is incredible. I hope one day he will share it with everyone here. Lars does superb work in Daz, Bryce, Hexagon, and Poser. He is able to get important messages across in his art by using his sense of humor. He is able to make a point without offending others, and he does it in a way that is entertaining and will make you smile. This dedication involves Lars and his Mom whom he speaks about with great love and respect.
True Love And Caring (For LBJ2): Lar's Great Grand father and his Grand father were both fishermen, and Lars and his family have lived near the ocean all of their lives. His Mother would often take him for a stroll in his baby carriage down by the ocean. She was a loving Mother and left a lasting impression on his life. Below are Lar's own words that touched me and were my inspiration for this scene.
"I could run out and play with all the other kids. If I needed anything at all. I could just run home. She was always there for me.
If I fell and got a bleeding wound on my knee.. she was always there to wash it and put a bandage on it.. if I got hungry or thirsty, any time of day... she was there for me.
I guess that is true love and caring."
In modern times I know it is more difficult to make time for our children and that is why I felt this story was both rare and beautiful. I wanted to capture that feeling of safety and happiness that his Mother provided for him all the time. Hoping for smiles,

Wonderful interaction between the two forefront characters in this image. I think you did a great job in illustrating the love of the mother for her child. I really love the portraits in the background, though. Little details like really sell a picture for me. Lovely work!

Logging in this morning I was pleased to see that overnight you had already receieved so many comments and favourites on this post. I know you have spent even more time than usual preparing this post for Lars and I can see why. The addition of Lars' own family photos on the wall is a stroke of genius and it is one reason that this image is so good. Other fine details become apparent as you study the image. I have had the pleasure of knowing Lars here for some months and we share a lot in common. (I was a professional guitarist for many years and at one time travelled to Holland to play with a band there) I also appreciate Lars' take on social issues and enjoy his work very much - He is a favourite artist of mine too. So, Dave, with this picture you not only give Lars pleasure, but many other members of this community too. Dave

my dear warm-hearted friend.........this depiction of true family touches the heart in ways few pictures can or do. Everything wonderful about this creation has been said by everyone before I got here. This has to be one of my favourite Dave images. What a special life Lars must have had and i only wish there were more mothers in the world like his mother. You've captured his words beautifully Dave, little Lars sitting there with his mum gently touching his sore knee is a very touching moment and i bet that is exactly how it happened in real life. The photos on the wall bring this image to the real world and what a beautiful woman Lars' mother was.

This is truly a masterstroke, Dave! A lot of love and effort went into this dedi. It reminds me of this "Wonder Years" episode where Kevin didn't like for his mom to be tending to his injuries and he got really upset. When he got hurt afterward and went to her, she coolly told him where the first aid stuff were and ignored his complaining, leaving him on his own. Lars on the other hand seemed a lot more grateful for his mom's tending to him! :)
