It was here that many human sacrifice was made to the shark god at Pelekane Bay. The first was Keoua who was killed on this beach as he and his companions disembarked from their boat. His death would assured King Kamehameha the Great to supremacy over all the islands. Keoua was a chief and cousin to King Kamehameha. Aloha and thank you for viewing

THIS AREA LOOKS SO PEACEFUL AND CALM. SHARKS OH NO ! I GUESS IT IS A BAD PLACE TO SWIM? OR ARE THEY GONE? IT LOOKS LIKE A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LAY OUT. IS IT OUT OF THE WAY? I DON'T SEE ANYONE HERE.
