Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

too many Chips in one place, and of course the taxpayers got the bill for fuel

Funny how that goes...a big motorcycle thing and they all show up...if there were a doughnut convention, all of the car cops in Chicago would be at it. Anyway, this is a fantastic collage! I love the details brought out in each frame of the image! As always, your sense of color is spot on!!

Nice collage Marilyn, I'm sure they were OK with you taking photo's looks like they enjoyed displaying their machines! I wonder how many you saw on the way home?

That is a LOT of cops. Wow!

I have no idea what brand these bikes are. Harley? (Honda?) Kawasaki? Moto-Guzzi? they look very modern in fiberglass and alloy so I added Honda to the list I had.

Ain't that the truth?...LOL Just have a tail light out and there's 10 of them chasing you down with lights and sirens blaring and hands ready to draw their guns.

Well, at least they weren't having doughnuts.......LOL....Here in Ohio we see the police cars lined up at the United Dairy Farmers and there they are, having coffee and doughnuts....

Maybe it was a skills seminar, so they could all be sure that everyone's skill was up to snuff. Nice presentation of your shots; maybe you should try to sell them to the police department for their flyers and other propaganda...when my nephew was graduating the California Highway Patrol Academy I went online to look for their insignia, and the academy had all kinds of "action shots" on their site.

wonderful shot here. I saw some one time at the fireing range and was told to go to a diff one that day I say " that good for them to practice shooting so they will not hit any body but a bad person" that cop looks at me as if to kill me lol I left. cool photos of them here

All these chips and no salt and vinegar. Lol. Excellent montage of shots Marilyn, I wouldn't want to be there if they all turned their sirens on at the same time. I wonder if they were all getting paid to play around like this? Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

does this constitute an illegal gathering?

Very interesting! In our old money there were 240 old pennies (or coppers) to the pound.

You just had to go and ask, thereby upsetting their let's-see-who-makes-the-most-noise routine. Nice sequence of photos in this collage, Marilyn! HB's finest!

This is the place to ask them if they want to race!!!
