Description

Hi everywhere, I am back after a short holiday. We visited one of Germany´s heartlands, the old kingdom of Saxonia. If the Berlin region stands for preussian military traditions for some centuries, so stands Saxonia for the bright side of life - joy, fun, luxury, baroque chateaus, maitresses of the king - and a wonderful old architecture 100 years ago. One of the best landscapes Germany can offer.... I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking in and thanks for your nice comments for my last pic "Unknown Berlin # 51". My special thanks for them of you who took it as a favorite. Bye till tomorrow. Bill

I can just imagine living in that building, waking up each morning sitting at one of the windows taking breakfast, enjoying that stunning view, of the valley below. What a vantage point this is, and the building is on solid rock by the look of it. Although it is a little hazy in the distance it is still a beautiful view, on a clear day you must be able to see for miles. As Tara says, it looks like something from a fairy tale. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!!

Wow, great picture Wolfgang. Beautifully composed and very realistic including the dark, rainy sky. Is this what is called the Elbsandstein Region? BTW, you forgot one other thing Saxony is famous for - Vopos - lol!!!! Sig...
