Description

Haven´t posted in quite some time, and thought i´ld introduce the reason for that. It´s a project i´ve been working on for some time now and finally completed. The Sacre Coeur basilica in Paris. The modeling was quite an undertaking and more or less a huge jigsaw puzzle as i had to rely on tourist shots of various quality for reference and had to do a lot of guessing on what some parts looked like. For the scene, i decided to keep the surroundings simple, rather than filling it up with all sorts of junk as i would normally do. :) The entire lot is modeled with Cinema4D R10.5, apart from a few Poser characters for the statues, and rendered with Maxwell. Postwork in Photoshop. A work in progress-thread for the model can be found here for those interested. Hope you enjoy. :)

Chapeau, mon gars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been following your WIP thread for a while, but the finished product is something else entirely...amazing work (damn, I wish I had your patience to complete something this complex). As a matter of interest, how many polys did this end up at?

Apart from the obvious fact that this is pure heresy, I do admire your work in this. The phrase 'OMG'! comes to mind and I did get all inspired for about 30 seconds. I do have one thing to add though......Now Do This In Bryce!
