Description

Continuing excerpts from the diary of Toren Delgado, recording the events of what is now commonly referred to as "The Shortest War": What we didn't know was the trio of missile-carriers that floated, waiting for our arrival. 3 ships modified to raid late in the "First Interstellar War", they were powerful, and carried 48 missiles apiece and lasers to ward of counter-missiles. They knew we were coming, and they knew we'd been scraping the funding together for this colony. That made us vulnerable: independents with no one to back us up. What THEY didn't know is that we had no intention of letting them get their way, and most of the crew of our ships had fought in the last war. We weren't quite such an easy mark. This was what became "The Shortest War". ========== Part Two of this story. I'm not sure how many installments this will take, but I'll keep plugging along until I feel it's completed. This isn't really my strongest piece, I know. However, each of these ships has over 1.2 million polygons, and my poor computer was having fits. So I made the compromises I needed to get it done. The next ones will be better, I'm vowing. As usual, ships modeled and rendered in Bryce 6, Postwork, compositing, and background all Photoshop CS3.

Interesting ship designs and fantastic backgrounds...this is the kind of art that inspires me, and hopefully soon, I'll try my hand at actual modeling as well...as it stands for now, however, I'll just sit back and let you do all the work while I just look at your output and go oooh and aaah... Great storyline as well, I'm intrigued by it and hope to see a lot more in this universe. It's coming along nicely.
