Description

At least 2 times a year I have to do one of this old alley images or I become unhappy :) However, this time I used my new plugin "cobbleclone" (Betaversion), to do the cobblestones in this image. Hope you like it, feel free to let me know what you think. Please let me know if you think its to dark. here a link to the beta thread of the plugin at newtek.com: http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89143

You always do such nice work. This scene has been one of my favorites. It's got great atmosphere. It is a tad too dark for me, I'd like to lighten the shadow areas and see a little more detail in the foreground. But on the other hand it depends on the mood of the scene.

its perfect for me ,different monitors produce totaly different values, lov the misty mood and the POV and the lighting really holds your attention.

great cobblestones! and i don't think it's too dark. the atmosphere and light inspire me to try a similar lighting situation.

While the lighting is fine for the image in itself, as an image to show off your plugin I think it's a bit to dark. While I can see cobblestones and rock work on the walls, I can't really see details. Pagrin :-)

It is not too dark for me. It is well balanced between light and shadow. Very good agencement and scene composing. The global visual is perfect.

Not sure if it`s too dark, as such streets tend TO BE dark;) You use rathger much contrast, so it looks rather well. Nice to see sth from Svenart, again:)

Superbly done and terrifically atmospheric - it reminds me of "The Shambles" in York (UK), probably what that would have looked like in medieval times. Modelling and lighting are just terrific!

You sure you don't have a time machine with a portal directly to the Middle Ages? One where you just pop out with your camera and take a quick shot? Fabulous atmosphere and mood. Feel like I've been there.

Great scene with excellent lighting! It is a little dark for me, but my old CRT monitor isn't nearly as bright as the new LCD's. Very nice work!

So that's why there are no puddles in this alley. You usually have an interesting puddle of water that breaks up the alleyway very poetically. I see that your new plug-in stops potholes and water leakage most effectively. Beautiful work, sir. :o)
