Description

Yesterday was Suzanne's birthday- the beloved Arthwithin. I made her this little drawing. (I hope she doesn't mind that I posted it in my gallery!) * * * * * *
I started my gallery with a dedi to Suzanne, but unfortunately it was after her injury. Now I get to post one for joy... All of you who know Suzanne's work know that she consistently--and I mean consistently--turns out one shimmering piece after the next. Even in her 'darker' works, there's a light beaming through the layers of her inner journeys, which not only caress us with sumptuous gushing warmth, but touch us with true spirituality. She's thrilled if she can awaken spirit in people: She's been on the path for years, cherishes it, talks about it as freely as water spills from a waterfall, and wants more than anything to open spirit in others. And it's real spirituality: yearning & struggle right alongside gushing love & light. Probably why so many are magnetized by her work... So, beyond her courageous journey from injury, and her beaming presence as coordinator of the 2D forum, she's graced the site with some of the most beautiful & sumptuous art it has. I don't think it's exaggerating to say she's an institution here. Soooooooo, SB, a big happy birthday to you and many, many more! Your galleries are a shimmering sun in the middle of a crazy world, they've brought joy to lots of people. I for one have felt, when walking there, like I was walking past a big glowing chunk of paradise.
May you flourish for many years to come- from a grateful onlooker & grateful friend, many hugs & love, Mark (Pencils & ink, processed in PS)

Thank you, Mark, for the lovely flower and those beautiful words. The flower looks like it is in flight, so that feels good to me. Your narrative makes me blush, and I think it is prettier than reality, and very flattering. In reality, I'm just me, one of very many people here worthy of praise. I don't think I qualify as an institution quite yet. I'm still relatively new compared to many artists on Renderosity. Still, it was so lovely to read your words, another gift. Thank you very much, Mark.

It seems to have an aura surrounding it to allow it to glow and show it's beauty while having a layer of protection. Deep, deep hues of blue that could either be a flower in the moonlight or the depths of a cool pond. Just lovely Mark. Happy Belated, Suzanne.
