Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great shot. Yes, if money was no object I would buy one for my brother who is a retired pilot.

Great shot of a great bird. I do appreciate your mentioning the F-18-NAVY in your comments. Ditto on the desire to have one parked in your driveway. Skipper62

If money were no object it would sitting proud in my hanger next to my Hawker Hurricane, BF109, HE111, Huey and Kubelwagen. Now where is this weeks lottery ticket :)

A grand shot, Bill! I certainly wouldn't say no, if I could buy one, but if I had a choice. A Fw190 would be my first choice. They have done a really fine buffing job on this bird! Great one, Rob.

Nice! Yep, if moeny were no object, I'd have a P-51 in the hangar. Sharing it with a Corsair, a Spitfire, maybe a Tempest or Sea Fury... and definitely a "Clunk" (Cf-100 Canuck).

Beautiful shot of the North American P-51, rated as one of the top fighters of WWII, all decked out in red and checkerboard. I think the bubble canopy really added to its elegance. Although I love this aircraft, if I had my druthers, I'd go Lockheed P-38 Lightning myself.

these machines are beautiful! Nice shot!

It is a beautiful plane but I don't know what I'd do with one...lol...I don't fly and I don't know a pilot...thank you for the look, excellent shot!

A fine capture Bill, an interesting comparison in size. The F-18 tail alone shows the difference in size between these two fighters. If money where no object I'd definitely add one of these to my collection. Thanks for another great image Bill.
