Description

I captured these three warthogs in the Pilansberg Game Reserve in South Africa. They actually entertained us for quite a while - first drinking some water and then proceeding to take a mud bath. One of them then started scratching an obvious bad itch in an unmentionable place by rubbing the area on a rock. It was too funny!! I might pluck up enough courage to place one of those images... Thank you for popping in and for your very valued comments and favs on my previous upload. Hugs, Carin xx

I have always throught they are so prehistoric looking. No good meat there - all bone. But such a force to contend with. I suppose when you are extremely ugly and not as large as those who hunt you, the only defense you have is a nasty temper. stunning shot.

Time for Preparation H! Momentous super stellar shot of what could be considered a most unattractive representation of animal life on this planet, Carin! They gotta get to a plastic surgeon or dermatologist post haste. And, I don't think I could partake in warthog meat.

our wild boar hogs here is every bit as terrifying as these.many years ago I was working at home painting. the lady's husband was always hunting and their 8 year old son had killed a wild boar.the head arrived from the taxidermist while I was there working. the lady called me inside to see it. I asked her if I could borrow it for a second. any way there was a man outside working on a window(my employee) and I quietly put the boar head up to the window and tapped on the glass.it scared him so bad he almost fell on the small ladder he was on.it was the first story or I would have not done it. excellent capture of the stooges.I would be very hesitate to be close to them
