They been haveing cotton picking machiny around for some time and it would look like they can improve on how it pick cotton. I know nothing about cotton crops but it looks like they left most it it behind. anyway how they get it improved on. this was taken in the last week of September. That when they harvey the crop here Been real busy lately so get to your gallerys soon.

Whatever happened to "gleening" a field? Guess they wouldn't even get enough for a bale and probably wouldn't be able to sell it anyway. It's all about big.

This shot is very interesting to me, because during the last WW my father was working 2 years in the cotton fields (as a german prisonnier)- Super image! Hug's Ute

Great shot of the field, Jock. I'm amazed at all the loss in the cotton harvesting. If the wind blows, they lose it. If they wait a day too long, they lose it. Then even if it's the best, they take it down the road and you see it all along the highway. At the gin, they leave it in bales and a lot more gets lost. We saw where some animal dug a hole in a big bale and made a nice sleeping place, and more cotton on the loose to be lost.

Looks like a good way of making a few extra dollars if someone was to collect the waste and sell it back to the growers. In these hard times I know I would lol! Excellent capture Jock!
