Description

First Snowfall Take#2...Thanks to geirla's comments on my last post,I decided to go back and re-work my terrain textures, this time using the same two textures but changing the Procedural for the distant terrain to "basic slope" and a "turbulent clouds" procedural for the other terrains. This gave me the look I was after...a skiff of fresh powder snow.Since I was adjusting the mats,I re-positioned the raven closer to the viewer and changed the angle of the sun.All sky settings are the same as previous image.Let me know which image you prefer, and thanks for viewing and comments!

Ahh, yeah. That looks more like how snow would stick. Very well done. (Yes, I like the second one best)

The lighting is quite better, Neil. Winter has a very harsh, white sort of light to it, especially with snow reflecting and very deep shadows. I especially like how you have brought the flying raven closer to the viewer. And I like the tree shrubs poking thru the snow cover.

I think the snowfall shaders are just a part of the improvements. The lighting really enhances the whole scene, including a more natural look. This one I prefer!

I like take 2 better, image is just a bit brighter and you are able to catch a bit more of the detailing. I especially love the tree branches sticking up from the bottom of the image. Great work
