Description

"Carter's Hold, way out in the Farmost Isles, was, in legend, an isle of the Old Magick, before even the Faerie Folk emerged on the Isles. Unique, some would say unnatural, vegation covers much of the High Moor, but on the bare rock are visible strange, deep cut patterns. It is perhaps significant that the isle, although suitable for their nests, is not visited by the many seabirds of the Isles". TOMANY'S TALES, New Alder Press, Ballymona. A result of experimenting too much instead of actually planning the render, one late session while using VUE 6 Infinite, I found myself nodding in front of the keyboard. It seems that I had come up with this render. I was tempted to discard it, but the far textures, sky and almost plastic quality of the foreground bush, seemed to plea for a stay of sentence. I'll let the viewer decide. Thanks to all who come by and view my poor offerings. To those who comment, I am obliged. May you all be surprised, at some point this week, into that state of 'awe and wonder' which characterised our childhood, and which we all need to recapture, if only fleetingly. Warm regards, John.

Looks nice. I know the feeling .. I do too many renders like that. Many are saved off and taking up space on my hard drive. Kinda nice but maybe not just quite right. Good wonk on this. I do like the colors and textures of the far island. A nice render.
