To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

As always, I have to say that this is quite superior work! I love the rich golden tones so evident in this...it has the quality of an old master's painting in so many ways, but it's so utterly modern, and a lot more fun...The entire composition is stunning, and it's a definite favorite! I especially like the rich and layered textures (yeah, this is one you HAVE to see zoomed!) and the reference to the crescent of the goddess in a hue of gray that recalls the moon. Great balance there! This is a wonderful piece of work and a definite favorite, especially since it's also dedicated to another great artist!
