Description

This is for renewal & the fall. It's a watercolor I did of a bush. The original is on the right, then I scanned it into Photoshop and colored it blue & green. (Full-view gives the original size, brushwork, etc...) So a little portrait of the "many moods of a bush" & a little homage to the fall...And to my beloved step-mom, who passed away this weekend. Many hugs & beautiful lights to your soul, dear V...
* * * * * * A sweet day to all and thanks to all who've commented & fav'd: It's always deeply appreciated when you come by. Peace to all, Mark

Good Morning, Mark! What a refreshing image to wake up to! It is great to see it in these RGB colors. Somehow, each one shows off the texture just a little bit differently. (Just like having those 3-D glasses on for the movies!) It would be so wonderful to have these images "life sized" on a divider or wall collage! Very well done.

Mark first and most important I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Step-Mom and I know how great a loss that can be. This tender and beautiful work of art is the perfect homage to what I know must have been a truly dear lady. She must have been so proud of the job she did raising you and the man you've turned out to be.

A triptych of the seasons, and a lovely bush painting. If you look on the blue one you can se it glitters as of frost. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, one more in the row you have gone through this year. We people have seasons too. Hugs!!

What a beautiful triptych of a lovely bush. You are so good at these plant drawings as you are so good at painting and writing. Amazing. Mark, I am so sorry you had another loss. This time your step mother. Maybe it was a relief for her, but it is a sorrow the the relatives. I hope you will find strength, my friend.

Wonderful colors and texture in these images--fall is my least favorite time of year, but I still appreciate the beauty it brings. I'm very sorry for your loss; may her memory sustain you.

This is a gorgeous triptych...the subtleties between each frame are wonderfully realized and beautifully presented. There's a certain unity underlying all three images, but they seem completely different in many ways, but they work so perfectly together. As with your other works, the hand-wrought qualities of these are what adds so much more depth. My favorite "version" of the three, aside from the original is also the frame to the right...the combination of colors indicates the onset of frost, though the plant itself remains alive. Great realization. I'm also sorry to hear about the loss you've endured, but as Beachzz said, may her memory sustain you.

What a sweet and wonderful dedication. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. But I see within this the regeneration of energy. For me nothing ceases to exist, it merely changes form. May the days to come bring you lighting and love and make your heart a little brighter.
