Description

now covered with snow... but three days ago it looked like this... it's a japanese cherry tree standing near my fathers place. It's bark is really special... Thanks a lot for all your comments on my little bird...smile...it really boosted up my mood, which today is a bit gloomy...not my usual me...but guess tomorrow will be a new and better day...smile

Almost monotone...except for those bits of red & green. You could do some wicked macro stuff exploring that bark and moss.

Isn't it fun to try new things when cropping a photo? Often I'll look at a photo I've taken and see nothing special...come back later and try a crop like this and suddenly, you have a successful image that you didn't see before. Well seen and cropped. Bill

Excellent textures and I agree with Tara regarding the contrast between moss and bark, also in that it is a beautiful image. I don't think I have ever come across one of these before. Thanks for sharing. Brilliant capture. Bravo!!!!!
