Description

Just a simple ink painting in the style of the Oriental masters, after their delicate branch & flower paintings... (Full-view is sharper.)

I'll be gone on and off for a while due to many personal matters; but I'll still be here to view your wonderful work & to post some of mine. My gallery's now over 80 pieces--I didn't think I'd reach 20!--and I wanted to thank all of you for your visits, your support & your love. It's meant a lot to me over these months...
Peace to all, and enjoy the last weeks of autumn (this is for that season) Mark

Mark this is such a treat first thing in the morning to see this gentle image done with such care. You seem to know so many styles of art and this one is instantly one of my favorites. The background paper is perfect for this and provides a darker tone that really goes well with it.

A soft and gentle touch, with colors to match; a beautiful piece of work, Mark.

Outstanding choice of color - the two tones [border and base] work well, and the brush work is to envy. Well done fer'shure, and have a good peaceful weekend. tim

This is such a wonderfully delicate and harmonious image. It combines the gentleness of the flowers with the strength of the tree branches showing that life can abound in all aspects. Beautifully done. Hope to see you soon.

WOW! This is a gorgeous work of art...the title of the piece actually reminds me of a short story by Samuel R. Delany, or an as yet unpublished book of poems. There's something poetic about this image as well...the bold color and delicate strokes form a kind of poetic dynamic that leads to all sorts of emotional connections and cross-references. You've definitely captured the whole vibe of Eastern (Particularly Japanese) art, and you've done so beautifully and in a way that is distinctly your own!

This is so lovely. It reminds me of the art work I had the privilege of studying while in Washington D.C. during the Cherry Blossom Festival. It is so open and breezy. It allows us to appreciate the simplistic beauty in each branch and curve.
