Description

Hello! Today something else. For the "December2008 Theme: Geometric Shapes" I made this image yesterday in order to calm myself. Finally my mother is home from Hospital. But the way they took here home, could make me screem. 2 hours in a wheel chair in a taxi bus with broken shoulder and hip. From hospital to the home is normally taking ½ an hour. To save money they take severel others home in the same taxi. So she just had to wait, untill it was her turn to get off. SNORT! Thanks for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special warm thanks to those who added it to favorites. Have a lovely day. Quiet weather no rain but grey.

Outrageous treatment of your mother! Don't they THINK? A superb image!!!! I am excited, I have just got Corel Paint at a really cheap price! Once I've worked through the tutorials I shall give it a go!

helle, what a total change...it's beautiful, I agree with the above comments. I love it too. It's introspective & thoughtful & it shows someone seeking calm yet immersed in deep emotions all at the same time. It's very inward. And your use of the Geometric Shapes Theme is really creative. It kind of leaves me speechless, because you've used the shapes so introspectively & personally; they hit very deep. I love the diagonal squares and the way you modeled them into bas relief (or etching); and all those scratched streams in blues & whites—they make emotion visible. It's really personal, it really is; and it captures your experience beautifully. Another fav. And so sorry about your mother—I know it's traumatic for someone like your mom. I wish her many better days ahead, and you too. Peace to you both, in big loving waves (whoosh, whoosh)...

Beautiful piece of art that calmed you down - outrage is how we all feel toward our uncaring health care systems - there are so many stories just like your poor Mother's - but glad she is home and survived the ordeal.

Great use of geometrical shapes in this peaceful image, wonderful combination of geometry and human. The handling of your mother was very inhuman, hope she will be happy and recover fast at home, under your care!!!
