I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

After gazing upon this primitive scene, I went into the garage and thankfully kissed my washing machine, and then gave my dryer a warm hug. Fine foto of the landscape and the natives doing their sanitary thing, Carin!

Swaziland must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The landscape is so peaceful and lovely. Either that, or it's your spectacular photography skills! That might be it, too. Whichever, this is a gorgeous view, and the people doing laundry in the foreground gives the sense of a slow pace of life. Wonderful image!

I used to see this a lot in Mexico but things have changed in the last years. It's not an easy life, but I love how you've captured the whole scene.

Wonderful capture Carin. This is something one normally doesn't see. Reminds me when I was a kid during WWII. My aunts and grandma did the laundry in the little creek that ran in front of the house in Sudentenland, now Czech Republic.

That's a panoramic vista for something as mundane as doing the wash. An excellent photo that tells a story of life in your part of the world. Very nice work!
