Today is my youngest son's 21st birthday. Happy birthday Ray!!! (RayDekker) Wishing you the best and brightest future full of health, wealth and happiness. I love you! Here in South Africa turning 21 it is HUGE! The tradition is to hand the person a key (usually in gold) which simbolizes the unlocking of adult life. Well, the last people that were here for the party left a short while ago, everything is cleaned up and I am exhausted... "He's twenty-one today! Twenty-one today! He's got the key of the door! Never been twenty-one before! And father says I can do what I like! So shout Hip-hip-hooray! I'm a jolly good fellow, Twenty-one today." Belated Birthday greetings Ray, I hope it was a good one. It used to be big here in the UK, but when voting and age for drinking came down to 18, it went out the door. There are more latch key kids in the UK now, they have the key to the door at six and seven year old. They have to fend for themselves until mum or dad get home from work. I remember my sister having a big do for her 21st Birthday, but I was married and had a daughter before I was 21 so it didn't happen for me. I got wed at 19, the only thing I remember about being 21 was I was able to drive wagons over 7.5 tons, it was my key to the HGV that I got at twenty one. Excellent capture and a great dedication to the Birthday Boy. Bravo!!!!!
