Description

Une tiare (du Perse تاره tara traduit en latin en 'tiara') est une sorte de couronne. Ce mot fait référence à deux types de couronne. Traditionnellement, le mot ‘’tiare’’ fait référence à une couronne de forme haute, souvent de forme cylindrique, rétrécie vers son sommet, faite de tissu ou de cuir et richement ornementée. Elle était utilisée par les rois et les empereurs chez quelques anciens peuples de Mésopotamie. Les Assyriens l’utilisaient ornée d’une paire de cornes de buffle comme décoration et symbole d’autorité, ainsi que d’un cercle de courtes plumes entourant le sommet de la tiare. Les tiares perses ressemblaient plutôt à un cône tronqué, sans cornes ni plumes, mais avec plus de joyaux, et avec un bout conique au sommet. A tiara (of Persia تاره tared translated into Latin in ' tiara') is a kind of crown. This word refers to two types of crown. Traditionally, the word `'tiare' 'refers to a crown of high form, often of cylindrical form, narrowed towards its top, made fabric or of leather and richly ornamented. It was used by the kings and the emperors among some former people of Mésopotamie. The Assyrians used it decorated with a pair of horns of buffalo like decoration and symbol of authority, as well as circle of short feathers surrounding the top of the tiara. The Persian tiaras resembled a truncated cone rather, without horns nor feathers, but with more jewels, and a conical end at the top.
