Description

Once upon a meandering walk, a friend and I had a long leisurely talk. We spoke of things in our distant past and once in a while we let out a gasp. Surely the years must have been kind 'cause there's only a wrinkle or two to find. We've learned a lot along the way and some of it we've put away. Some of our lessons are still on a shelf covered with dust and from time to time we think of them if we must. And yes... from each one there was something we learned and wisdom from each of them we have earned. So here we are now more than half way through life... you'd think by now we'd learned about strife. But, hey, we're human at best... so come on and give the jabber a rest. It's time to mellow out a bit and make sure that the evening candles are lit. Let's sit down and rest a spell and remember the times in the past were swell. And when we are finally done with the past we will turn our vision to the future at last. Remember the past if you must, but remember each thing to dust. Get rid of the old and bring in the new for the moments of now are far too few. This is the end... the very last note. If I hurry I can catch the last boat. Our thought for the day is: 'To unthink a thought, replace it with a bigger and better thought.' Gayle O You are a miracle just waiting to happen. If you don't believe it, look in a mirror and see the magic of you. © Gayle O This is a single flame created in Apo 3D Hack and post worked in PSP. Some of the variations used in this flame are the linear, hemisphere, spherical, cylinder, scry, foci, and blur variations. Thank you for stopping by to share a moment of time with me. I appreciate you viewing my art and leaving comments on my images. Each one is like a precious jewel that I will always treasure. I send a most heart felt thank you to those of you who have favored me as an artist or have favored one of my images. You make my world a little brighter and bring rainbows to my valley of life. What a wonderful gift to receive. I wish you a day of love and delight. I wish you moonbeams to make your heart take flight. But most of all I wish you a never ending bliss that will touch you with a whispering kiss. May you always know joy. Namaste.

the piece feels like a vision poured on by lush cascades of bliss, like they were poured on from a huge pitcher...your top orb is spilling-over with these cascades, and the interaction of all the layers & forms is like many silk scarves piling down from on high...As always you have these nodules of life all over, like cities of the soul, and the forms are organic but also mythic (I've always seen both Native American and ancient Hindu forms in your art)...and they drip down over each other as if the bliss is so thick it pours over the sides. You also have an 'architectural' feel here, like it's a vast city; and there's a ground, a ground layer upon which everything seems to rest. A soul's ground...Beautiful work Gayle, and an evocation of your words' summons to look to the core inside of all things, in which everything else becomes light. A sumptuous portrait of the soul...

We learn from the past, but we shouldn't live in it. We must move forward, as life was meant to be lived. A beautiful poem Gayle, and a superb illustration, the central image is so well placed, it appears to have been generated by Apo!
