Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

You and me both Marylin, I would also treat them with the greatest respect, the surf aint half as bad as the stuff they encounter in the Deadliest Catch, but then we arne't talking Alaska here. They can be just as treacherous though, I leave this stuff to those that can swim and surf in the stuff, but even those have accidents now and again. Superb captures, all three, I have been busy and unable to comment. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Love those offshore winds, the backspray is wonderful!

I know what you mean... I went into the water about 20-25 ft., to get some shots, and as soon as I turned around trying to shoot the beach, a huge wave came from nowhere and splashed me... lucky me, it was hot outside, so my clothes dried up fast!

Fantastic blue sky in the background which tells me, with waves like this, a cold and breezy weather front is headed inland. Great colors and wonderful shot.
