GREAT job and great thanks for the conductor and his car to be no long time out of order !! Are you very in security with snow tyres and your truck ??? EXCELLENT idea by sooting before...
photostar
That road surface is slick as the reflects of the truck's headlights are shining in it. You see much of that up North here.
myquad
A great capture of the hazards of the weather.

No 'may' about it up here; last count had 53 ditchings on local news.

This looks just like my drive today as well. I wish people would slow down!

That is cool. We are going to get ice tonight, so the weather man said...
goodoleboy
This is really cool. A fortuitous and momentous capture of life on the highways, Jock! Another example of drivers, inexperienced with snow conditions, thinking the roads are still dry while driving.
tallpindo
Start in second and let it just "walk."
drifterlee
Wow! I never thought you would get snow down there,Jocko!

This looks a lot like what is going on around here.We also have record breaking cold temperatures to go along with it.Be careful and remember to pump your brakes when you skid.

Treacherous road. Yes, it is very dangerous when driving in it. One has no control.

what a mess! great shot!

Stay safe, my friend! Snow isn't too bad ... it's the ice that forms when the snow melts a little and the road freezes. This is a great shot! Exactly what happens when people are a little careless. You have to be aware all the time!

Being from canada and as most here know I've lived in California now since 1965 I do know the dangers of snow sleek and rain on top of it so yes as one comment here said be careful, you could very well get into an accendent when your not use to it ,our calif.drivers right now up north are having accidents all over the place as we have snow everywhere up that way, lake tahoo big bear ,down to 3,000 ft lots of it and here a big rain storm going on with lower temps where we may get a small snow fall, but yes a great capture indeed, you may be able to turn some of these photos into a news station lol::stay safe!
annie5
It looks like in Quebec when we have a snow storm! Great capture :)

Faemike55
Great shot, Jocko! WE're suppose to be getting up to 6 inches Wednesday and even more on Sunday! Yeah! An my primary means of transportation is a bicycle!
MrsLubner
Our snow line is coming down to 700 feet tonight. I wanted to drive up to the edge and let my grandson see snow falling but I remembered that I don't get home from work until it's dark and I don't think my little light-weight car would do well after dark, in the snow, with me behind the wheel. LOL Good investigative photo work.
beachzz
Yep, that's the way it happens, I am SO glad we rarely get snow here!!
marybelgium
