Description

This ship is intended for an animated graphic novel I'm developing. I won't be getting too crazy on details because the ship will only be seen in a flyby at the beginning of the story, and for a couple seconds when it docks with a moon-based structure to drop off its cargo. The story was originally planned as a short film. But, given time constraints - like work - I've decided to develop it as a graphic novel where the viewer watches it on a CD and some of the scenes will be stills with 'talk balloons", etc. Some day it might end up as a short film. But for now, I feel I can at least flesh it out through a graphic novel. The idea for the animated graphic novel was inspired by the "Sinkha" series by Marco Patrito.

Very different from what one usually gets to see under the sci-fi label. Looks very promising, I like it. Are those tubes supposed to be part of the propulsion system or some kind of containers ?

The yellow objects are cargo containers. The light blue colored areas in the back of the ship are a form of ion drives. They will have a glow and more detail when the engines are engaged.

Ah yes as i recall Sinkha i used to follow this graphic novel way back in the day in "Heavy metal magazine" ! Marco Patrito has some awesome space craft visions or designs all created in Strata 3-D, he had some wild ideas of inner and outer worlds , good Italian sci- fi is very well thought out in the right hands such as Marco .... I will keep an eye on this, great start so far !

I've decided to work on a more bare bones version of a cargo ship, intended for Earth to Moon deliveries. Which is more in line with the story as originally planned. This model was partly inspired by the art of Sparth, who's always been a favorite sci-fi artist of mine. Either way, I will incorporate this model into the story so it gets its just due attention. :)
