Description

After I posted the shot*** the other day of this plant in my window, I looked it up. It is indeed, a Lithop, also known as "living stones"**. Amazing that this sweet little flower blooms from such a plain looking plant. **lithops ***early in the morning~~late in the afternoon

One needs to sing a spiritual while looking or at least hum in harmony.

LOVE the light!!! (I'm gonna wonder all day long how tallpindo hums in harmony all by himself. What a neat trick that must be!) LOL!

Stellar clarity and lighting effects here, Marilyn. Unless one is a pantheist, there ain't no such thing as a living stone.

ok I'm skipping around (I'll get to everyone soon!) Didn't realize what this was until I read your descr: How many personalities this plant has! Yes it does look like stones but it also looks like some extra-terrestial growths (succulents can look that way—they're some of our most exotic plants). You caught some great wrinkles, it has real bulbousness & all kinds of little details that make it all the more exotic. Fine against the dark background too...Just what macros are supposed to be: Glimpses into all the worlds that the naked eye doesn't stop to see. This is a formidable shot. Fine work.
