Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

wonderful work Maz, I see that snow there, we have not had any at all yet either, but it's bitterly cold here.

Oh, look at the snow. Isn't that cute? LOL! I'll trade you. Okay, aside from all that nonsense, these are wonderful images. I love the view, and the grasses are spectacular!

It's a beautiful scene you've got there...a great place to walk and take photos!

For me, the last shot...bottom right... is the one I can bond with. :-) I can see the snow on the mountain crests from my office. Makes me wonder - is it better to be in the mountains and have snow (up to 15 feet) or be in the valley and get wind and rain (40 mph wind with 1 inch of freezing rain...) I sort of think maybe a temperature-controlled room at the Hyatt in ANY city would work for me. LOL

Cool collage! Nice work!

Wow, except for some minor differences, this looks just like the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach! Splendid collage presented here of the cold and raw environment, M.

Great images Marilyn. I guess everybody gets on the snow band wagon, even our friends in Hawaii. I would like to go north to Flagstaff, but a couple of days ago when it snowed they had over 100 cars slide off I-40 in a 24 hr. period. We hadd a couple of highways closed due to snow. I guess I just look at the snow pictures posted here. I like your attitude about the snow!Sig...

nice montage, Marilyn. (Or maybe I should write "Merrilynn"—a little name-spelling joke that no one else'll get, lol...) You could make shots out of each one of these. The high grasses against the slate-blue bank and the mountains in the background make a beautiful rugged capture. (You really live in a beautiful place.) Your low-angle shots have real drama. It must be beautiful in winter for solitude and vastness. I'm starting to fall in love with that area from your photographs...
