Description

This hardy little gem never gives up. Ice, snow, rain, hail, whatever gets thrown its way, it never gives up. I love them for that reason, and have them all over the place. This particular one is on the creek bank, this was the day the SUN came out. I love that dappled shadowy look it has.

(almost caught up here...I've written these over the last few days & now I'm posting them; and as I see them all in one sitting I'm struck all over again at the vitality of your gallery as a whole...) Yes this is a sweet capture of sun-dapples, it's a symphony of lights & shadows, and the leaves add a delicious texture to the whole shot (like collard greens or kale) as do the blues of the primroses. Did you know 'primrose' comes from 'prime rose' (i.e., prima rosa)? Maybe its being 'prime' gives it such staying power. Nice contrasts...it's a delicious shot. You obviously spend time with flowers, as you capture them in many different moods and moments...

This particular lighting direction really displays wonderful shadow effects, textures and colors in this vunderbar floral portrait, Marilyn! Love those petals!
