Description
As I mentioned earlier, primroses bloom almost year round here. I have them all over the place, and when they get kinda scraggly, they go to the creek bank--kinda my flower orphanage!! There they just get to relax, and be themselves. No need for that big performance expected of the those big bright beauties you'll be seeing soon in the nurseries!!

I love the idea of a rest home for flowers; I've always felt bad giving them a death sentence just because they aren't perfect any more...yes, I know I'm silly, but that's just the way it is! These are a wonderful color (my other favorite for these flowers), and they do look great by that cobalt blue.

loved Denise's (MrsRatbag's) comment, and love that you have a special orphanage for flowers that have passed their "modeling" stage (i.e., when they're no longer on the fashion runways in Paris!). This is their autumnal stage, they're not as pristine as they are in earlier days but they have a gentle maturity with deep oranges and beautifully weathered petals. Love the cobalt blue too (so does just about everyone else) and the eloquence of those faded flowers surrounding, which reach out like old gnarled tree-branches. That creek bank must be a beautiful & characterful place. (Love to see more.) A lovely shot.
