Splendid capture of the rainbow and its spectrum of colors in this watering-the-lawn image, Marilyn! Or is it, water-in-the-lawn?

I've always loved the rainbows that appear in lawn sprinklers; sort of like little captive rainbows! Great shot!

fun to wonder (w/goodoldboy), is that water going up, down, or is it just droplets from the spray...it's got a wonderful presence about it. Nice how the hues past the rainbow darken, and we see all those wonderful shadows. You are eternally smitten with the call of Photography—you see pictures everywhere you are, even while watering your lawn. (One poetry teacher stopped in the middle of a coffee shop, and looked under the table. We asked, "what're you doing?" He answered: "Seeing if there's a poem in this room.") (There was: He published it a week later...) And you don't have to feel bad that you have no snow: It's great to see these shots when I have 14 degrees out my window & windchills I don't wanna talk about. Your N. California shots remind us of the great variety of this world; and while you may not get much snow, you have the 'end of the world' not far away, in your primal ocean & South Spit, etc. It all evens out in the end...
