I know people Who say they never have any regrets That if they could They would do everything the same again Lucky souls I have many regrets Regrets that haunt me in my sleep Even worse they sometimes haunt me While I am awake If I could go back and change things Yes oh yes I would go back and change many things But life is what it is Cruel to fools Who never think about tomorrow Only today I guess the justice is If you gave a fool a second chance He would end up with regrets again

So true. But those with no regrets played life a bit too safe, and boring. I'll take my chances, and the regrets that sometimes come along with them!

"They would do everything the same again" That's a powerful line, and sad, I think. There are SO many things I'd do so differently--and who knows how it would be now?

I guess if you could go back and change things, with the knowledge you have now, but you can't, those lessons got you where you are today, thinking about the things you might have done. But no regrets here, only a set of life's lessons applied and some not applied... excellent thought provoking poem!
