Description
For the night of the New Year, 800,000 to 1.5 million people gathered at the Champs-Elysees, the most famous Paris avenue, to celebrate the New Year. These picts were taken some minutes after midnight. I dedicate this pict to all my friends here, wishing them a happy and creative year, with excellent health for them and for people they love, a good job (for those who are in age of working), enough to eat and a comfortable house, and no bombs at all! Never forget to act for our planet this year too (and participate to the Earth Day at Renderosity on April 22th). Best viewed full size. Comments welcome. I hope that you enjoyed my Christmas post:
A Nativity from Provence
Techdata: Nikon D70 with Nikkor 1.8/50 (equiv. 75mm full-size 24x36 format), 1/50s at f/2.5, hand-held, ISO 1000, manual focussing. The first pict was done holding the camera above the head trying to guess what the framing could be without the aid of the viewfinder (the LiveView is a true benefit but does not exist on the D70). No postwork except for resizing and collage of the two photos.
I will slightly delay my two santons posts, because my next upload will be some nice Christmas presentations in Paris shops. I have to apologize now to you, my friends and people who favorited me, because I have been a very bad RR member these holidays, I have not commented you at all, and I am very late in my daily work too. But I will do my best to visit your galleries as soon as time permits.

Une magnifique photo qui décrit bien l'ambiance de mise lorsqu'on termine l'année en beauté et dans la joie. De mon côté, je perdais ma maman le 30 décembre et j'étais bien loin de ces festivités, malheureusement. Avec du retard, mais sincèrement je te souhaite une année photographique riche et créative, Edouard.
