Description

Yesterday's walk in the dunes turned into one of discovery. I see this barn every time I go to the beach and decided to check it out. It's been there a long time, and the dunes have claimed it. Come along with me and I'll show you what I found.

it's amazing, because you have almost two completely different shots from the display view to the full-resolution, and each is its own rich world. But both really show the desolation of the land, those beautiful parched grasses and those grayed-out tree-trunks & branches. And the barn stands there (and one behind it, I think) almost like a ghost of a previous age, really mysterious and looking very abandoned. And when one moves to the right, you reveal water & mountains, giving a depth to it all. A fascinating & rich capture, love the posts in front, and I love that you gave us a whole picture-full of those grasses before we even hit the barn. My kind of shot. A really parched wintry capture, right for the season...
