Description

We're at the barn, an easy walk as you can see from my previous post**. I climbed to the top of the dune for this shot, about 30'. You can see how over the years, the constant movement of sand and water has pushed and moved and shoved it around. The supports are completely exposed and inside the sand goes halfway up. And yep, the graffiti artists found there way to it as well, but even that has its own kind of beauty. **the dunes and the barn

Another excellent shot. Looks like it is on concrete piers. If it was on anything less...I'll bet it would be a wreck of twisted metal. Man encroaches on the sea...the sea encroaches back :) Bill

wow, an amazing structure! It looks like an old barn with an almost 60s flower-child graffiti (or like something from the NYCity subway!) and all kinds of rich debris all around. (Desolation can be really rich...) Also, you got a really nice line to the shot, the roof in harmony with the mountains on the horizon. Is it really that brown around there? Amazingly broad & empty. I love this shot.

I think I'll sit down on this hill & just look around. The scene is so rich in color, the barn matchs the country. This must have been fertile land once upon a time.

Excellent shot, great textures here, I hate graffiti, it should be a MAJOR crime, even this beautiful spot is marred by those sensless cretins and their spraycans, I get really vexed when people call it art, it's NOT art, it's criminal damage!

Yup, me too, on the graffiti...but the colors of the land, and the barn, and the shapes are all so harmonious. It looks like there's driftwood almost under the barn, does the tide come that high? Seeing it with water all around it would be awesome!

Wow! Looking at the roof of this barn it would be vertually invisible from an helicopter, a great hide out maybe. Thos barn doors look to be almost new compared with the rest of the bulding. I wonder did you get a peek inside, going back to your comment I see you did see in side as you say the sand is halfway up. I wonder if there is any treasure underneath it all, maybe the owner left an old car in there? A very thought provoking image Marylin, excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Stunning! Amazing how nothing gets by without being dorned with gaffitti. Scared to stop at the traffic lights too long! Cheers, Clive
