Description

Another image combining 2D and 3D elements. The rock formations are lattices created in the terrain editor, rendered in a Bryce stone preset. The terrains are rendered in the same texture, with a moss photo-texture combined using an altitude blend mode. The water is a preset made 100% transparent, with another plane added beneath rendered in a mud texture. The sky and atmo is a customized preset. The trees are 2D planes with a tree from XFrog's USA West set added. The rain is three seperate 2D panels, layered with a Bryce rain atmospheric preset added. The creature is the Dorpodon. Credits: XFrog's USA West 2D trees and Dorpodon from Daz3D.com...moss photo-texture from cgtextures. Thanks for viewing and all your previous comments!

Super rain effect you have created, Neil. Especially with the droplets hitting the water.

Great image! Love the colors and the materials. That Dorpodon doesn't look to happy about the weather. (I can never get lattices to look like decent hoodoos. Is there a tutorial out there somewhere?)

Fabulous looking landcape Neil, I love the textures you've used. I must revisit cgtextures again. Love the Dorpodon, he looks like he's getting relly wet. Tony.

Wow, I'm not sure how I missed this one when you posted it, but this is awesome! I especially like those stone-columns (I know, no surprise there!) you have here.
