Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I still have images to catch up on (and will), but for now I skipped ahead to this because it's such a salad of a shot! First, I always zoom because most art sites present art in a lower-res format to save bandwidth, and it's never what the artist intended. Second, the zoomed version feels like a big nature's-salad with all kinds of delectable ingredients. It's a delicious collection of sights. And the moss at bottom gives a nice base to the shot, kind of a natural plush-carpeting; and the succulents sprout-out like a delectable feast. The top portion has its own frenetic rhythms too—with all those vines and fence-work—so the shot is really packed & vibrating...I can see from your recent uploads that you're starting do 'anything' for a shot, i.e., letting the camera guide you: Yep, the bug's got you. Just know that pretty soon you'll be digging holes in the ground and sticking your head out from 20 feet under to shoot a blade of grass. Get strong clothes! I have a feeling you're gonna need them. Love the feeling of this shot.

So this picture is Double Flipped. Flipped Upsidedown and then Flipped Upsidedown. So it is true, 2 negatives make a positive. Not that this is negative of course, just that upsidedown is the negative position of rightsideup!!! Cool way of lookin at thangs Girlie!!!

Your garden is very eco-friendly, I see. Plenty of succulents which require very little moisture to thrive.
