BUY THIS CAR!!!
Seventy-sixth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
Look Ma, no running board! But a stellar bumper and grill. This one is really boss and one of my Cadillac favorites.
No domestic automobile production from 1942 until the late 1940s due to WWII.
Thankx for the visit on this very warm and sunny hump day.

Oh Harry - what an elegant lady!!! Her lines are just amazingly sleek for her age! The shining chrome and burgundy color also appeal to me... A real stunner! :)

Very classy car well photographed. Cadillac came back in '41 from a rather not-so-cool 1939 (I know some like the '39s). Good note on no domestic car production between sometime in early '42 and late '45. I have a complete collection of National geographic magazines...looking through the 42-45 issues, you readily see all the war materials the car companies were building in lieu of cars. Airplanes, tanks, trucks, torpedoes, artillery pieces...you name it. As the war wound down, along came the change in ads back to consumer goods...quite a neat sequence of events. Your antique cars must bring back a lot of memories to you too. Does that mean you and I are antique? Bill

So much to see on this automobil. Perfect condition and a wonderful color mixed with shiny chrome. As usual you got the angle right Harry what suit for this kind of photos.

TwoPynts
I can just picture a bunch of mobsters piling out of this one with their tommy guns. Excellent capture!

This one is just a bit too gaudy for me. I can bask in the lines of the windsiedl though and the bubbles of the rear fenders. The front fender aprons are so flowing. OK, it's those horns with the V on them and the movie theater griffin wings on the front of the hood that almost make me gasp. Do I like the trim on the side of the hood? Yes and the way the emblem is set. Your pictures are able to display the charms and the alarms.

Beauty, I hope you keep these auto photos for someone to reference in the future if they are restoring one. These would make up an excellent book of reference for detail.

What a beauty this one is, what's the elegant wording for ragtop?

A very toothy grin on this one.

They did go through a spell where they looked like behemoths, it seems. Still a beauty, and I agree with TwoPynts' statement.
