Description
well, there has been some interest in how these somewhat complex images are put together, so i thought i'd let some of the cat out of the bag. this is the story behind my last post "Look-See Or Appetizer?".
(this shot was taken from the fill-light plane by one of those crazy grips)...me standing on point with the old picture box, trying to decide whether i want the props to look blurred or not. my pilot and his trusty piper j-37 is my main man all the way from thailand, Ajarn "dan'l" Cheuplawm (crazy wild as a mad hatter). i think we damn near burnt the piss out of that little "engine that could" trying to keep ahead of the nikkis on this one. some smoke from the "mad tree" and a bottle of jack topped off a perfect day's shoot!
usual bag o tricks poser/vue6inf/cs3
all the credits from the original shoot, plus m3 "dan'l" from daz, assorted equipment from here and there, and not the least, Piper Cub J-37 from Henry O. Arnold Jr.

This is just the icing on a delicious cake, amigo!! About a zillion thumbs up...now, if you show us the fill light plane and the Piper, and then the plane that took THAT shot.... A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the center of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: "What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise." The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, "What is the tortoise standing on?" "You're very clever, young man, very clever," said the old lady. "But it's turtles all the way down!"

The old 'infinite painters in the landscape' ploy.I agree with texboy's old lady "you're very clever".This is top drawer stuff.

I haven't visited your gallery for awhile, so thought I'd drop by. This is a great render. I flew a Piper Super Cub for a few years in the 1960s and can identify with your pilot. Cool idea behind the whole presentation but you've made it look so plausable, some folks here may believe you:)
