Description

Obsessive. Compulsive. Disorder. Now why do they use that word? I mean, there's no disorder here at all. Everything in its place. I always wanted to make a cutaway drawing. I knew it would be hard to do it well, but I had no idea. I've got well over sixty hours in this one -- and I started with a completed model exterior. I spent a whole two days on the fuel tanks and plumbing alone. And forty-five minutes designing a little chair that you can barely see. And yes, the beds have little pillows on them. It was an interesting exercise. I originally made the model with my usually idea of where things ought to go, but as I tried to place components on the inside, I had to move stuff around on the outside: T=the lower lifeboats went up high instead, the fuel plugs moved around, and the ventral thrusters had to come down out of the hull a bit. Now I'll have to go back and change some other drawings so it all matches (see, above: OCD.) Annotations will need to wait until next weekend. I'll probably end up tweaking a bit too: color schemes and maybe some more details (no! stop! No more!!...) I'm out of time and have to go to work in the morning. Less than five hours and change until the alarm goes off, and I'm not as young as I used to be. No story with this one, just lots of spaceship guts. Hope you like it and thanks for viewing.

Wow! You really think through your designs for your ships, don't you? This is such a cool piece, I can't believe the level of detail that has gone into this!

Wow!!! Very nicely done, I really like the perspective. I once thought about doing this myself but, I can not find anyway to do the interior and still have enough resources on any of my computers to complete the task or even to save the file. And since I use Bryce after the file get to be over 500 Megs it really makes the job impossible. I just hope that if DAZ decides to develop this program in the future they create a better way to manage memory. You did an exceptional job here my friend..........Bravo....... David
