Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Some of those boats look as if they are actually made of wood! So many of the ones round here are fibreglass, not so pretty. A great pic, Bruce will love it!

This is an interesting array of watercraft. They do look well cared for on the one hand and older by design on the other. Wow, that's a tortured sentence...hope you know what I mean. Anyway...super photo for bruce's birthday. Well done.

I just glanced at Bruce's gallery—impressed! This is the 3d dedi I've seen to him, so Happy Birthday, Sir B! We over in 2D don't get around as much, it's a pleasure to see your work! As for the image, Marilyn, another exuberant motion-filled shot! It's a real confluence. And I think the bluish & slightly bleached tone is perfect for the shot; and I like that you gave almost all boats and pier rather than lots of sky & water, because you let them dominate our vision. A very vibrant capture, a real shot of energy. Exciting work.

I love marina shots, and this one is grand! I can almost hear the squeaking of the dock and smell the salt. Happy Birthday, Bruce!

Marilyn, thank you for the great picture of the docked boats and birthday wishes. Looking at the 1st boat on the left side, at first glance I thought it was the Viagra....hummmm!!! Getting there quick enough, lol.
