Description

I was walking around the bay again yesgterday, and took a short cut thru an alley. It's crab season here and everywhere you look there are piles of crab pots. This was behind one of the processing docks, it's kinda smelly, muddy, but it's the real deal and I love it. This is one of those piles. They're just sitting there waiting to be loaded and filled up with those lovely crustaceans!! Oh, the different colors are to identify whose pots are whose.

Cool. I've got a similar shot but not half so colorful of Lobster traps in Maine. Think I'll have a crab sandwich...almost lunch time here.

Andreas Gursky did a photo called, "99 Cents": I give you the URL below. I'm not suggesting you're influenced by it—not even a little, because you may never have seen it, and you have a vision all your own! But it may inspire you just to see a famous pic with stuff piled-up just like yours...In the meantime, yours is a big, tumultuous, wildly fun & vivid capture, dancing around with all those lines & blues & colors, etc, like a locker room for the crab-set.
