Description

This is Raven's mom. She's pretty much the polar opposite of Raven, and much more what one generally expects of a drow female. She's angry, cunning and constantly maneuvering to gain power. That her only daughter fled the Underdark at the tender age of 18 ticked her off no end. She never did figure out who assisted the child in her escape... I'd never really thought about doing an image of Raven's mother, but when I saw Xurge's new outfit for V4 I thought it seemed quite suitable for the old girl. It's available for a pittance at xurge3d.com. D/S users note that you need to manually add the tif file to the displacement channel. You also really need to crank it up. I think I had it set at 200% and had the negative set to -.35 and the positive set to .50. The skin texture is my usual - the DAZ Silver texture for V4, with the diffuse set to dark grey, and with pwSurface added to give it cool rim lighting. The ear morph and the eye texture came from Rebelmommy and Tiltedhalo's Lillith character over at DAZ (though I originally purchased it here at Rendo). The face morph is Anais by Maelwenn, found in the DAZ market. The hair is Kione by AprilYSH (DAZ) and the texture is from the add-on set by Maskim Xul called Kione: Color and Movement (DAZ). The cavern bits are from Poisen's Cave-Z 2. The face that you can kinda see on the left hand wall is the Omni Skull also by Poisen. Both are sold here at Rendo. The textures I used on them are from the Microcosm system sold at RDNA. I used Omnifreaker's Human Surface Shader so that I could tile the textures properly and adjust the size of the tiling. It works brilliantly and has turned into an invaluable tool. It's sold at DAZ. The weapon is from DM's Land of Sorrow set. I used Omnifreaker's UberPoint Light Shader to make it glow. And I used Gleam for DAZ Studio (by Si Vincent and Khory D - available here at Rendo) for the rest of the staff/mace. Aside from the point light for the weapon the lighting consists of three distance lights - one to her left (main set to 100% and a medium purple with shadows turned on), one to the right (medium blue and set to about 50% strength), and a light blue back light (set to 100%). The pose and the facial expression are both from InfinityRain and Digiport's new pose set called: V4 Bot Armor Poses (on sale at DAZ). You will note that there is no Bot Armor in the scene, however I was looking for a pose that had an air of strength and confidence about it and that's really what this pose set is all about. If you're looking for dramatic poses for super heroes or other powerful women this pose set will not disappoint.

You really have the Drow complection down, lovely yet sinister. Great character piece! The brightness of the trim on the crown might be a bit much but it's just a tiny issue.

Yeah, the crown is bothering me a bit too, shotgung0d. If I have time I may redo this one.
