My sincerest heartfelt sympathies and to you, Tiggers and family. I'm a pet owner too, and over the years its never easy, nor ever gets any easier. Our cats (and pets), they're family to us, like our own children, if not surrogate children that adopt us as much as we adopt them. They're each unique individuals in their own personality, behaviour, preferences, and temperment. No two ever alike. They may not be able to talk our spoken language, but yet they're so human in their qualities and in their own way they make an impression on us with their own body language. They're always there for you with unconditional love, always seem to know when your down or ill, and seem to know when to spend time with you, to offer some comfort and affection. And sometimes cheer you up. Its always the little things like that we often take for granted but will come to realize we miss the most once after they're gone. Such as the way they brush up against your leg, or stand up on their hind legs reaching up to your lap, or simply claim your lap, or the chair your sitting in, tuck you in at night as they settle in they're part of the bed or wake you up in the morning or know when your stepping out, or waiting for you in the window when you return. They each have their own special verbal response for every occasion, that becomes its own unique language that we learn to understand. Even just typing this, reminds me of my own dearly departed Spotty, of 14 years, who was lost to cancer as well; now 9 years ago. Even now, i'm unable to keep a few tears from welling up and letting loose. Its truly because of the special individual bonds we each develop and share with our pets- our loved ones, the impressions they impart on us that never really leave us because we dearly love them so. And knowingly, we'll truly miss them so.

Connie I am so sorry this is happening to your little Kitty. I can relate as I lost a puppy to cancer a few years back and felt just like you do now.

My heart goes out to you. I dread the day I face lossing my favorite old man, he's 13 now. I'll be think of you and your beloved friend. Beautiful and moving image. The body posture says it all. Wonderful lighting.

Connie, my heart goes out to you. After last Monday's loss, there are no words to describe the agony, yet it seems most of us have shared it at one time or another. Your cat and render are very beautiful.

What a gorgeous, heartfelt image you have created my dear Connie. I welled up when I saw it because I know what you are going through. It's so hard to loose a being that we have such a strong connection to and I know you will be heartbroken when it happens for a while. Take your time and take good care of yourself and do things that bring you joy. I hope the Goddess takes Tiggers into her care and keeps her safe and greets you on the other side when it's your time.... HUGS and Kisses to you both....

My mom said to me a couple weeks ago when we went in to the vet to say goodnight to her Gracy kitty.. "they say all your pets wait for you in heaven and come running to greet you when get there, I'm going to have a field full knocking me over" It's at least a somewhat comforting thought. My big black furbaby is sitting in front of my keyboard right now making it very hard to type and trying to stick her forhead through my shoulder... it drives me crazy sometimes but it's her way of being affectionate and I'll miss it when she leaves us.. hopefully it'll be quite a few years, she's only 3.

Finally went back to your thread at Daz3D, then saw your "final post" link and came here, to realize why you were making this render (besides just making renders). I didn't catch on 'cause I didn't read much except the light techniques. I'm really sorry for your loss, I've been there. The one that really hurt our family the most was the loss of a little (runt of the litter) black half terrier/(and something else) that made him look like a mop rag, named "Rags" lol.. we had him since my little brother was born up till he was 8 years old. When we lost him to a car hitting him, it hit our family really hard, we grew up with that dog and have always loved him! So hang in there, Connie, and be prepared. Life is unfair most of the time and sometimes there's simply nothing we can do to change the situation, but with strength, family, and friends supporting, we can deal with it better :) This is a remarkable render, very nicely done, and yes, the lights are just beautiful!! 5+....... ++++++ lol :) ...wolfie

Losing a pet is terrible. Sad. Inevitable. I really feel for you, I have two beloved dogs of my own, and fondly remember the two cats we once owned - even our daughter's rabbit. Gentle loving creatures that bless us with their undying love and presence. Isn't it amazing how they need us, turn to us - even self-sufficient cats? Anyway - the picture is lovely.
