Description

I have captured this swan at the Johannesburg Zoo. He was very eager to have his picture taken (or just wanted to be fed) and swam right up to me. I was wedged between a tree and a wooden bridge but manage to shoot off a couple of images without him pecking at my nose!!!! I love the cloud reflection in the pond! I didn't go to work today! Managed to pick up a monster of a cold sore on my lip and it has me in agony! Yikes - I hate them... At least I had a good rest and will see how the fat lip looks tomorrow!!! Take care! Hugs, Carin xx

At first I thought this was just another ho hum shot, but then the reflections and the composition of the entirety came together for me. This is an example of a very talented photographer. Thanks for shaaring.

There is such an amazing placid feel to this. Outstanding. Those cold sores are nasty and remember they can be contagious if they open up. One can turn into two, so be very careful. Take good care of yourself.

OMG, the swan version of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Incredible! Ironically, the stern end of this magnificent creature somewhat resembles the cloud reflections in the pond. This is a gloreous shot, Carin...the bird does appear to be floating in air, and the tucked-in wings remind one of the wings of an angel. And, in re your agonizing cold sore, I recently had a stinging half-inch-long canker sore in my mouth that took six weeks to heal.

I like this very much...it does all kinds of twisty things to my perception, and that's a cool thing! Beautiful clarity, and those reflections are to die for!
