Description

Helloooooo! I'd like to introduce you to some of my colleagues!! No names necessary as they stepped out of their teacher roles to entertain the students during our Sock Hop. This pie eating contest was a blast. BUT - I was SO happy to be on this side of the camera during this time. Once they got past the whipped cream there was a picture to identify. THAT determined the winner and I don't remember who it was. lol. Everyone was too busy laughing to care. I am also happy to report there was no damage done to the camera or flash during this uncontrolled frenzy. I only mention this because I held the camera above my head, pointed and shot, which was also well above the rowdy crowd. How I managed to aim while being jostled is beyond me. Hooray for auto focus! Well, it beats having your head shaved, right? Actually, I've taught at schools where this would be pretty much a normal day in the lunch room (I will also refrain from mentioning names). Thanks for a good chuckle with your action-packed capture!

I take it the pie is all whipped cream (I mean there isn't rhubarb underneath, right?) 'Cause everyone is covered in white! A great fun shot, and great to know it's the faculty. (I didn't have too many faculties who tried this when I was in school...) The whites are wonderful, and the two people looking at the center lady (with her face in a pie) is great. A kind-of DaVinci's Last Supper for the pie-eating set. (Well not quite...I'm gonna get emails...) A really fun shot and wonderful to see kids in the shot enjoying themselves too...
