Description

I hardly ever post photographs but thought I'd share this one with everyone. I've just got back from a family holiday in Fuerteventura (one of the Canary Islands) and there were a few areas along the beach where these adorable creatures would run up to you and actually take food from you if you held it out for them. They are of course Chipmunks and how original is the name we came up for this one ... 'Chippy', LOL. Enjoy ... Tony.

The clarity, sharpness and detail in the foto is awesome, Tony. I get these little guys in my yard every Summer. Their favorite 'nibbles' seems to be peanuts, preferably in the shell. What they don't eat, they bury...LOL

Awwwwww! Sweet, and so cute! Interesting, too--the chipmunks here in the States all have very short little tails, and are a bit smaller than that one seems to be. It reminds me of both a chipmunk and a squirrel, actually--hmmmm, maybe a chipsquirrel, or a squirrelmunk? grin Nice shot, though!
