Description

Sangrien Industries (whose earlier ships were often referred to as the "Nautilus Series") introduced a new transport for short-duration operations within a decade of the end of the war. These ships were intended to be used for missions like moving people and cargo from near-orbit to the lunar settlement, for instance. The unexpected use was that they were also popular with survey teams for operations that required more mobility than the big long-duration ships, but had an abundance of room. They also abandoned the rotating engines idea in favor of engines that could fire from several different exhaust ports to give sufficient maneuverability. ------------ This is my first new ship in a while, still not sure if it's done, yet as I keep thinking it could be a bit better. Anyway, it's modeled in Bryce, textures are mostly presets, with a few of my own modified textures. The background and planet are all done in Photoshop. Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Nice ship! I like those engine pods, but one thing to keep in mind (if you care about the physics, if not, ignore) is that the thrust should line up with the center of mass. For the sideways (or up/down) engines, there ought to be another set of engines in front.
