Description

Another very busy day, and the old VUE 6 Infinite is rolled out before I fall asleep. The POV is very close to the surface of this coastal estuary, but as you can see, I still haven't quite reached the sea. The story of my life, these days, I think.. ;o) The 'Rocky riverbank' MAT was used for the 'land' terrain. I used a rippled terrain with Gill Brooks' 'Windy Wild Water' MAT from WATER PACK 1 available from Renderosity, to give it its texture. The atmosphere, which, of course, you don't see, was used in an earlier render of mine, called 'Dormition'.This was my fifth POV, and has more detail, but no ripples etc.. Sorry Gill! This rendered in about 25 minutes on my old, underpowered XP machine. My VUE 7 on my newer VISTA machine just refuses to work properly, after being updated... I have a couple of MATs which I really want to try out on that version. Well maybe another month.. Nothing on the Dalriata front, at present, but I hope to return to its alternate history, when I can. Thanks, to you all, for viewing my renders. I like the POV too! Your comment reminds me of when we go to the coast (usually Wales) - I still do the childhood hoot of "I CAN SEE THE SEA" and it drives hubby nuts hahaaaaaaaaaaa! Can't wait for the weather to pick up so we can take our pup Maya to the beach. She's not seen the sea yet !! Very lovely scene btw! Sorry for the rambling ;-)
